About the role
The Crossing Guard role ensures the safe movement of individual students and families across busy streets, specifically on Julie Street and Lebanon Avenue. This position focuses on supervising transitions, providing guidance, and maintaining a secure environment for children traveling to and from school.
Key responsibilities
- Assist students and families in crossing streets safely during peak school hours.
- Monitor traffic conditions and coordinate with local authorities when necessary.
- Provide clear instructions and support to children with special needs or mobility challenges.
- Maintain a visible presence at designated crossing points to deter unsafe behavior.
- Report any incidents or hazards to school administration promptly.
Required profile
- Strong sense of responsibility and vigilance.
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in busy traffic situations.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist children as needed.
