Data Center Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Data Center Architect to lead the end‑to‑end design of large‑scale data centre projects. You will be responsible for overall architecture, infrastructure systems, technical documentation and coordination with cross‑functional teams, ensuring compliance with international standards and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define overall data centre architecture, zoning, space planning and building layout while adhering to TIA‑942 and GB 50174 standards.
• Lead design of electrical (UPS, power distribution, generators, switchgear), mechanical (HVAC, airflow management, hot/cold aisle containment) and low‑voltage systems (structured cabling, BMS, DCIM).
• Produce detailed construction drawings, equipment specifications, BOQs and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with structural, fire protection and architectural teams to resolve design clashes and support bid clarification meetings.
• Plan capacity, redundancy (N+1, 2N, N+N) and PUE targets, balancing capital cost with operational efficiency.
• Participate in site surveys, commissioning, mock load testing and resolve design changes during implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data centre design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of international standards such as TIA‑942 and GB 50174.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex technical documentation.
