About the role

The Deli Assistant works in a fast‑paced retail environment, preparing high‑quality hot and cold deli items while ensuring every customer leaves satisfied. This part‑time position involves both morning and evening shifts, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh‑food areas, including sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes, and sliced meats.
• Cook, assemble, and display deli products throughout the day, maintaining portion‑control standards.
• Keep all fresh‑food counters clean, well‑stocked, and visually appealing.
• Share product knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with shoppers.
• Handle customer queries promptly and professionally, following store policy.

Required profile

• Passion for food and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to multitask under pressure.

Required skills

• HACCP training (desirable but not mandatory).
