Digital Audio & Ad Tech Specialist

About the role

The Digital Audio & Ad Tech Specialist will build, promote, and sell EARS' advertising capability – East Africa’s first digital audio super‑app that aggregates radio livestreams, podcasts, and audiobooks. You will design and manage the ad‑tech infrastructure, set up programmatic systems, and create campaign frameworks while educating the market on digital audio opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the ad‑tech stack for digital audio advertising.
• Configure programmatic buying and selling platforms, including DSP/SSP integrations.
• Develop and launch campaign frameworks, audience‑targeting models, and measurement methodologies.
• Educate brands and agencies on the benefits of programmatic audio.
• Build and nurture commercial relationships with advertisers, agencies, and partner radio stations.
• Manage technical integrations with partner stations and contribute to the product roadmap for audience growth and monetisation.

Required profile

• Formal education in Marketing, Digital Media, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Experience in digital audio advertising, programmatic media, or ad technology.
• Familiarity with the East African media landscape and residency in Uganda or Kenya.
• Strong commercial instincts and ability to pitch advertising solutions.
