Distribution Driver – Heavy Goods Vehicle

About the role

The Distribution Driver is responsible for safely delivering beer and empty crates to customers while maintaining the vehicle and ensuring compliance with company standards. This role supports the company’s image by providing reliable, on‑time service across assigned routes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle pre‑inspection and adhere to the maintenance schedule.
• Ensure safety of the vehicle, cargo, and compliance with legal and company safety standards.
• Deliver beer and collect empty crates according to delivery instructions and route plans.
• Load and unload products, verify counts, and obtain signed delivery documents.
• Control costs by monitoring fuel usage, reducing idling, and preventing breakages or missing bottles.
• Complete accurate fuel records, pre‑trip inspection forms, and required DPO reports on time.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience driving heavy goods vehicles.
• Valid Heavy Duty Vehicle licence – Class C & D (Sumatra).
• Fluent in English and Swahili with strong communication skills.
• Numeracy and literacy skills, able to use electronic equipment.
• Basic knowledge of automobile engineering and a strong service mindset.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload.
