Drug Representative

About the role

The Drug Representative will work full‑time on‑site in Kampala, promoting and detailing Sysmex and Becton Dickinson medical and diagnostic products to healthcare facilities, laboratories and clinics across the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers, present product benefits, answer clinical and technical questions, and follow up on orders and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, prepare sales reports and participate in product training sessions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate stock availability, marketing activities and customer support while meeting sales and territory coverage targets.

Required profile

• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills for engaging healthcare professionals.
• Sales, negotiation and customer relationship management abilities, preferably within the medical or pharmaceutical sector.
• Basic knowledge of medical, laboratory or pharmaceutical products and the ability to learn and explain technical information clearly.
• Diploma or degree in Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences or related field is highly beneficial.
• Ability to travel within Kampala and surrounding areas and work independently while adhering to ethical and regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common office software and digital tools for managing client data, preparing presentations and reporting.
