About the role
Acorns International School (AIS) in Kampala is looking for an Early Years Lead Teacher. The teacher teaches all areas of the curriculum, prepares the classroom and supports learners to meet their educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Teach all areas of the curriculum
- Prepare the classroom for lessons
- Plan lessons and create classroom displays
- Submit paperwork and work one-on-one or with small groups of students
- Take part in professional development and collaborative planning
- Help on school outings and at school events
- Report to and liaise with parents and guardians
- Assess learners and write reports
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related qualification
- Teaching qualification or certificate
- Relevant teaching experience
- Experience in an international school is an added advantage
