Education Manager

About the role

The Education Manager will lead the integration of education programmes into World Vision Uganda’s sector plans, ensuring strategic alignment with the organisation’s Theory of Change and delivering high‑quality interventions for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Work with technical managers to embed education into community‑level integrated sector plans.
• Develop and approve detailed implementation plans, budgets and priorities for education programmes, including grant‑related activities.
• Design and support emergency education programmes and lead innovation pilots.
• Oversee monitoring, reporting and quality assurance of education interventions, ensuring compliance with OIOS indicators and DIQA tools.
• Collaborate with the MEAL team to implement an evidence, learning and research agenda.
• Represent the organisation in ministries, inter‑agency forums and strategic partnerships.
• Prepare national‑level business plans and contribute to the annual national office report.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading education programmes within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong background in programme design, budgeting and grant management.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) processes.
• Ability to engage with government ministries, donors and partner NGOs.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving innovation and scaling successful pilots.
