Education & Spiritual Facilitator

About the role

The Education & Spiritual Facilitator will coordinate education and faith‑based development activities within project communities, strengthening schools, churches, and families through training and engagement. This full‑time position reports to IDI Uganda and works closely with teachers, church leaders, and community members.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver teacher training on pedagogy, psychosocial support, and Christian discipleship.
• Mobilise parents and community groups to support school feeding, uniform distribution, and resource provision.
• Strengthen PTAs, support school management, and oversee sustainability initiatives such as school gardens and agricultural projects.
• Identify and mentor talented learners, coordinating education sponsorship and mentorship programmes.
• Facilitate children’s discipleship, youth spiritual development, and training for Sunday School teachers.
• Organise family, marriage, stewardship, evangelism, and revival events.
• Coordinate Bible distribution, monitor church construction, and support Christian leadership development.
• Document, monitor and report on programme achievements, challenges and impact.

Required profile

• Minimum five years (60 months) experience in education programme coordination or similar roles.
• Demonstrated experience in faith‑based community work and capacity‑building.
• Strong understanding of Christian values and ability to integrate them into programme design.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
