Electrical Project Engineer

About the role

Master Power Systems Uganda Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join its on‑site team in Kampala. You will lead electrical engineering projects, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure that all procurement activities meet the company’s quality and timeline standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage electrical engineering projects from design through delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Oversee procurement processes, including purchase orders, BOQ preparation, and contract negotiation.
• Maintain quality standards and compliance with procurement regulations.
• Utilize ERP systems for tracking, reporting, and cost control.
• Prepare project estimates and support budgeting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical or MEP projects.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Electrical design and power distribution knowledge.
• Experience with procurement, BOQ estimation, and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• AutoCAD and Revit for electrical drafting.
• In‑depth understanding of LV/HV items, substations, and power distribution networks.
