Fabrication Engineer – Production

About the role

The Fabrication Engineer will lead and support metal fabrication activities for components such as enclosures, battery cases, cabinets and mounting structures at our Kirolo Production Site. This hands‑on engineering role combines technical execution with day‑to‑day supervision of a small team of fabrication technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and supervise CNC press brake, CNC fiber laser cutter and other workshop equipment (grinders, drill press, press‑fit machine).
• Cut, bend, weld, drill, grind, finish and assemble metal parts according to engineering drawings, CAD files and bend drawings.
• Set up CNC parameters, nesting, tooling and material settings; troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Apply and oversee welding techniques for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, ensuring weld quality and appearance.
• Supervise and coach fabrication technicians, allocate daily tasks and monitor safety, productivity and quality.
• Inspect fabricated components against tolerances, fitment requirements and quality standards.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with CNC press brake and laser‑cutting machinery.
• Practical welding knowledge (MIG/TIG) for steel and aluminium.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files and flat patterns.
• Experience supervising a small workshop team and providing technical guidance.
• Strong focus on workshop safety and quality control.
