Field Officer – Bulambuli & Amuria, Uganda

About the role
The Field Officer will play a critical day‑to‑day role in delivering GiveDirectly’s gold‑standard cash transfer product to donors and recipients in Bulambuli and Amuria districts. Working closely with the Associate Field Manager, you will support a variety of field activities that ensure cash grants reach the people who need them most.
Key responsibilities
- Execute cash transfer processes, including household visits, eligibility verification, and disbursement of funds.
- Collect and record accurate data on beneficiaries, ensuring high data quality and compliance with GiveDirectly standards.
- Coordinate with local partners, community leaders, and other field staff to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor and report on field activities, providing regular updates to the Associate Field Manager.
- Travel throughout Bulambuli and Amuria districts to reach remote communities.
Required profile
- High integrity and commitment to GiveDirectly’s mission of poverty alleviation.
- Ability to work independently in remote, field‑based environments.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned districts.
