Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will support the Financial Services and Compliance Monitoring Section of the Regional Service Centre in Entebbe, providing financial management, reporting and treasury services for all client missions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the achievement of RSCE key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) components for projects, programmes and operations.
• Ensure high‑quality outputs, clear reporting and data‑driven analysis.
• Plan, organise, guide, train and supervise the assigned finance team.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports for all RSCE client missions in compliance with IPSAS standards.
• Process non‑travel commercial vendor invoices, purchase orders, fund commitments, direct expenditures, medical clinic invoices and imprest replenishments.
• Act as treasury liaison for payments originating from RSCE client missions and house banks, coordinating daily with UN Treasury at headquarters.

Required profile

• Ability to manage KPIs and SLA components for financial services.
• Experience preparing financial reports in line with IPSAS standards.
• Proven capability to supervise and train finance staff.
