Full‑time Research Assistant – ICSSR Project

About the role

The Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution is seeking full‑time Research Assistants to support an ICSSR‑sponsored project. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to research on peace, conflict resolution, and related social issues.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and synthesize academic sources.
• Assist in designing and implementing data collection methods, including surveys and interviews.
• Perform data entry, cleaning, and basic statistical analysis.
• Prepare draft reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior researchers.
• Maintain organized research files and documentation.

Required profile

• Master's degree or final year of a relevant postgraduate program (e.g., peace studies, political science, sociology).
• Strong analytical and writing abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in peace and conflict research and willingness to work collaboratively.
