General Counsel (Contract, Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position focuses on building and refining contract negotiation playbooks, drafting commercial agreements, and supporting AI‑training initiatives with high‑quality legal material.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, and improve contract negotiation playbooks tailored to real‑world scenarios.
• Draft, analyze, and annotate a variety of commercial agreements, ensuring clarity and compliance.
• Provide expert commentary on best practices for contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Curate and supply non‑confidential transaction materials to meet project documentation goals.
• Evaluate and optimize existing contract templates to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with micro1’s team to align materials with project guidelines and AI‑training needs.
• Deliver concise written and verbal feedback to improve system understanding and output.

Required profile

• Current or prior experience as a General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with a focus on contract negotiation playbooks.
• Proven expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management within corporate environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of industry‑standard practices for contract review and risk assessment.
• Experience developing or using contract negotiation playbooks for companies.
• Familiarity with document‑driven project assignments and sourcing eligible materials.
• Ability to work independently and provide actionable insights for AI training.
