Global Development Internship – School Improvement Officer

About the role
PEAS is seeking a motivated individual to support the Mastercard Foundation – Leaders in Teaching (LiT) project in Uganda. The role involves working closely with school leaders, inspectors, and local government stakeholders to strengthen secondary school quality and drive systemic improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Support school inspections and the development of School Improvement Plans (SIPs).
- Coach and mentor school leaders and inspectors to enhance instructional practices.
- Monitor progress of SIPs and report on project outcomes.
- Deliver training and capacity‑building activities for education staff.
- Assist with data collection, reporting, and overall project implementation.
Required profile
- A degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience in school leadership or education management.
- Strong knowledge of Uganda’s education system and inspection processes.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively to schools and communities.
