Grants Management Coordinator – Kampala

About the role

The Grants Management Coordinator will be based in Kampala and support DRC’s operations in Sudan. The role ensures timely donor communication, high‑quality reporting, and compliance with donor and Sudanese regulations while coordinating with programme and support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver narrative and financial reports that accurately reflect project progress.
• Maintain and update the DRC grants management system, including Dynamics ERP, funding trackers, and documentation checklists.
• Facilitate donor communications, grant opening, review, and close‑out meetings, and ensure smooth information flow.
• Support fundraising strategy, donor mapping, and database maintenance.
• Assist Head of Programmes and Area Managers with administrative tasks, including submissions to the Humanitarian Aid Commission and relevant ministries.
• Archive and manage all HAC and line‑ministry documentation for easy internal reference.
• Coordinate partnership activities such as partner identification, due diligence, and capacity‑building support.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education or equivalent experience in grant management, finance, or humanitarian assistance.
• Demonstrated experience in donor reporting, compliance, and grant administration.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian funding regulations and donor requirements.
