HDP Nexus and Partnerships Advisor (Tier 1 & 2)

About the role

The HDP Nexus and Partnerships Advisor will support UNDP Uganda’s strategic engagement with bilateral and multilateral development partners, strengthening resource mobilisation and partnership development. The role focuses on the Humanitarian‑Development‑Peace nexus, providing strategic guidance to senior management and national actors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic guidance for the country office’s programming on the HDP nexus, identifying entry points and developing policy and programme opportunities aligned with the Country Programme and UNSDF.
• Provide advice to national HDP institutions on strategic planning, research, monitoring and evaluation, and support UNDP senior management on integrated HDP initiatives.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with donors, government, civil society, academia, private sector and the UN system; set partnership priorities, monitor KPIs and advise on donor trends.
• Develop and implement donor‑specific resource mobilisation strategies, support proposal development, and strengthen internal mobilisation capacity through tools, training and technical guidance.
• Oversee coordination of high‑quality donor reporting, ensure compliance with grant terms, and contribute to knowledge products and communities of practice on the peace‑development nexus.
• Collaborate with the Communications team to produce visibility materials, promote campaigns and disseminate results to stakeholders.
