Head of Marketing, Brand & Communications

About the role

Ecobank is seeking a senior marketing leader to shape and execute integrated marketing, brand and communications strategies that drive revenue growth, product uptake and customer loyalty across its markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated marketing plans aligned with revenue and profitability targets.
• Translate business objectives into actionable product and marketing initiatives, overseeing new product development and market penetration.
• Manage marketing budgets, monitor ROI, and report on campaign performance and revenue contribution.
• Lead digital adoption, cross‑selling initiatives and data‑driven marketing optimisation.
• Ensure a consistent, customer‑centric brand experience across all touchpoints and leverage customer insights to improve offerings.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, brand governance and quality standards.
• Oversee third‑party vendors and agencies through effective SLAs and contracts.
• Drive digital transformation, strengthen brand positioning and enhance acquisition and retention efforts.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing marketing team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field (post‑graduate qualification or CIM is a plus).
• 8–10 years of marketing experience, preferably in banking or FMCG.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and analytical, data‑driven decision‑making.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
