About the role
Empower Primary School in Buyende District is preparing to open its doors for the first term in January and seeks a qualified Headteacher to lead the school through its launch and early operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and management of the school.
- Support recruitment of teachers and support staff.
- Lead school promotion and enrollment of learners.
- Supervise teaching, learning, discipline, and child protection.
- Maintain school records, reports, and accountability.
- Communicate regularly with donors and partners.
- Support fundraising efforts through timely updates and reports.
- Work closely with parents, community leaders, and education authorities.
Required profile
- A Diploma in Primary Education.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience.
- Previous school leadership experience is an advantage.
- Strong command of English and Lusoga.
- Good leadership, communication, and community mobilisation skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong commitment to Christian values, integrity, God‑fearing, and child welfare.
