About the role
The Uganda Heart Institute is looking for a receptionist in Kampala to act as the main point of contact for patients, visitors and official clients. The role covers front-desk support, handling incoming enquiries and providing coordinated customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee front-desk operations and keep the reception area clean and organised.
- Work with triage and clinical staff to assist arriving patients and guide them to the right service points.
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls through the switchboard, keep switchboard logs and direct callers to the right offices.
- Answer enquiries and give general information on departments, activities and services.
- Share information about the hospital's services while following hospital policies and procedures.
- Coordinate effectively between internal staff, administrative units, clinical wards and external visitors.
Required profile
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE / O-Level) with credits in English.
- Certificate in Customer Care, Public Relations, Front Office Management or a related field.
