HS Boys Basketball Assistant

About the role

The Academy is seeking a dedicated assistant coach to support its high school boys basketball program. This position works closely with the head coach to develop student‑athletes, reinforce team strategies, and ensure a positive, competitive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and delivering daily practice sessions.
• Help organize game day logistics, including equipment setup and player rotations.
• Monitor player performance, provide feedback, and track progress throughout the season.
• Support academic monitoring and mentor student‑athletes on balancing sports and studies.
• Participate in scouting, video analysis, and preparation of game plans.

Required profile

• Passion for high school basketball and youth development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the season.
• Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and coaching techniques.
