Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Twyford International Uganda is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions for its expanding manufacturing operations in Kapeeka Industrial Park. The role will act as a key business partner to senior management, ensuring HR services are efficient, compliant, and add value across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and programmes aligned with organisational objectives.
• Support management in workforce planning, talent acquisition and talent management.
• Oversee recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, attendance management and HR administration.
• Review and approve HR‑related expenditures and departmental budgets.
• Ensure accurate HR reporting, record keeping and compliance with Ugandan labour laws and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the HR team, setting clear performance expectations.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, grievance handling and conflict resolution.
• Maintain productive relationships with labour authorities, unions and external stakeholders.
• Drive employee engagement, retention, succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
• Collaborate with department heads to address workforce challenges and provide strategic HR advice to senior management.

Required profile

• Highly experienced HR professional.
• Experience managing HR functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
