Kitchen Staff – Breakfast & Lunch Preparation

About the role

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking reliable Kitchen Staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, support serving lines, and assist with occasional catering events across its Midwest locations. The role involves hands‑on food preparation, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes, including batch cooking and baking.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other certified equipment.
• Maintain clean work areas, equipment, and dishwashing stations; monitor chemical usage.
• Manage inventory using FIFO procedures and keep cooler/storage racks organized.
• Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager.
• Record production data, temperature logs, and comply with HACCP and CACFP regulations.
• Participate in safety programs, meetings, and required training.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining accurate daily production and temperature records.
• Willingness to attend meetings, trainings, and adhere to Opaa!’s core values.
• Readiness to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and support team members.

Required skills

• Operation of slicers, mixers, grinders with proper certification.
• Knowledge of HACCP processes and food safety logging.
• Inventory management using FIFO methodology.
• Baking basics for bread, cakes, cookies as required.
• Temperature monitoring for hot and cold foods.
• Cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and dishwashing equipment.
