Lead Generator – Universal & Agent Banking (Eastern Uganda)

About the role

Absa is seeking dynamic Lead Generators to drive growth of its consumer lending and retail banking portfolio across the Eastern Region of Uganda (Lugazi, Jinja, Mbale, Soroti & Tororo). You will work both as a Universal Retail Lead Generator and an Agent Support Advisor, delivering sales, building relationships and ensuring high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve agreed sales targets by proactively selling consumer lending, asset and liability products.
• Generate, qualify and convert high‑quality leads into new accounts.
• Submit accurate loan and account applications in line with bank policies.
• Provide hands‑on sales support and follow‑up to ensure conversion.
• Maintain compliance with KYC, AML, health & safety and operational risk standards.
• Deliver timely customer service, resolve queries and complaints, and escalate when necessary.
• Manage and support agents in the assigned area, travelling as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams (operations, credit, KYC helpdesk) to accelerate processing.

Required profile

• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong business development mindset with experience in acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
• Willingness to travel across multiple towns and work flexibly.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
