Lead Toddler Teacher (2‑Year‑Old)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to oversee a classroom of 2‑year‑old children. Reporting to the School Director, you will create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports each child’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels respected and cared for.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Identify and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including implementing IEPs and behavior support plans.
• Plan, deliver, and document curriculum aligned with Cadence’s educational philosophy and Signature Programs.
• Utilize Cadence‑required systems and communication tools for professional interaction with families, staff, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom, following Cadence Education Safety and Supervision guidelines.
• Accurately record accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors in compliance with company policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Passion for early childhood development and a commitment to high‑quality care.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool education, preferably with toddlers.
• Ability to implement and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral support strategies.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures, licensing requirements, and classroom management.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills for partnering with families and team members.
