Lecturer (Economics) – Full‑Time

About the role

The University seeks a full‑time Lecturer in Economics to deliver high‑quality teaching, supervise research and contribute to curriculum development. The position requires a commitment to academic excellence and a Christian ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned economics courses each semester and assess examinations, coursework and assignments.
• Mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
• Engage in scholarly research, publish findings and participate in academic events.
• Develop learning materials, monitor student progress and provide pastoral support, counselling and career guidance.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, community outreach and compliance with university guidelines.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Economic Policy and Planning or Quantitative Economics; Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field.
• Minimum two years of university teaching experience at Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer level (or three years at Tutorial Assistant level).
• Completed at least one academic research dissertation and a record of high‑quality publications.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Committed, practicing Christian.
