Legal & Regulatory Affairs Officer

About the role

Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda is seeking a Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer to provide business‑focused legal advice, manage contracts and ensure compliance with Ugandan regulations across its digital infrastructure services.

Key responsibilities

• Research and interpret Ugandan statutes, regulations, Gazette notices and case law relevant to the company’s operations.
• Prepare legal advisory papers for the Board, Executive Committee and department heads.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to all business units and discuss regulatory concerns with department stakeholders.
• Manage contract drafting, review, enforcement and ongoing compliance.
• Oversee regulatory processes for products and services, ensuring alignment with licensing and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate stakeholder and dispute resolution activities.
• Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory reports and draft correspondence with regulators.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research to support business decisions.

Required profile

• Legal qualification with knowledge of Ugandan law and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in providing legal advice to corporate entities.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with various business departments.
