Lifting Coordinator

About the role

The Lifting Coordinator will oversee all lifting operations on the project, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Dimension load lifting accessories and create or update load schematics using AutoCAD.
• Accurately calculate loads and interpret load diagrams to guarantee safe lifting.
• Coordinate and supervise lifting activities according to the approved lifting plan.
• Verify that only registered crane operators, certified signalers, and riggers are involved.
• Check ground conditions and ensure daily equipment inspections by crane operators.
• Brief crane operators, riggers, and signalmen on safe procedures and monitor adherence.
• Validate lifting machine certificates and maintenance inspection programs.
• Attend daily toolbox meetings for effective communication and coordination.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and the company’s SHEQ policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in oil & gas or civil construction lifting operations.
• Completion of a Lifting Supervisors Safety course.
• APLO certification as required by regulations.
• Proven experience in load planning, equipment selection, and risk assessment.
• Hands‑on experience supervising lifting teams.
• Successful completion of a recognized Rigging and Signalman course.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Experience using load calculation software.
