Logistics Officer

About the role

Watu Credit Uganda Ltd is looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Logistics Officer to coordinate and optimise logistics operations across Uganda, based in Arua.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast inventory requirements, monitor daily stock levels and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect supplier deliveries to verify quantities, specifications and condition, reporting any discrepancies.
• Liaise with technicians to ensure the correct bikes are selected, prepared and ready for installation.
• Coordinate timely transportation of assets from suppliers and between branches, ensuring safe handling.
• Oversee proper storage, organisation and security of supplies while applying 5S standards.
• Process dispatches and deliveries with accurate documentation and timely execution.
• Maintain effective inventory controls, conduct regular reconciliations and ensure system compliance.
• Monitor and control logistics‑related costs to support financial management.
• Identify non‑compliance incidents and support corrective actions.
• Ensure proper physical display of bikes and accurate recording in the warehouse system.
• Drive compliance with occupational health and safety regulations across logistics activities.
• Prepare and present accurate logistics, inventory and warehouse reports as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in logistics, fleet, transport or supply chain operations.
• Strong coordination, planning and organisational abilities.
• Good knowledge of fleet and transport management practices.
• High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel).
