Manager, Non Financial Risk

About the role

The Manager, Non Financial Risk will lead the Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) function and oversee non‑financial risk activities across the organisation. You will work closely with the Group Anti‑Money Laundering team to ensure proactive identification and mitigation of suspicious activities while supporting a strong risk and control culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver TPRM and non‑financial risk assessments in line with the established framework.
• Provide AML and financial‑crime advice to business units, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with Group AML to stay current on investigative techniques and intelligence gathering.
• Contribute to the Operational Risk Management Framework and promote a culture of compliance.
• Drive the creation of a Customer Complaints Risk review process.
• Continuously evaluate existing risk frameworks against emerging threats.
• Monitor and screen all third‑party relationships for suspicious activity.

Required profile

• First‑degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience leading non‑financial risk initiatives.
• Strong understanding of risk appetite, risk response and process improvement concepts.
• Knowledge of information risk standards such as ISF Good Practice and POPIA.
• Experience with risk, control frameworks and assurance in the financial services industry.
