Material Control Specialist – Scrap Management

About the role

The Material Control Specialist is responsible for managing scrap generated in the production workshop. This role ensures accurate recording, proper handling, and systematic reporting of scrap materials, supporting both production and warehouse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate statistics of all scrap generated in the production workshop.
• Coordinate the handover of scrap materials between the production workshop and the warehouse, ensuring proper documentation.
• Sort, classify, and organize scrap materials according to company procedures.
• Ensure proper storage, tracking, and accountability of all scrap materials.
• Prepare daily and monthly scrap inventory reports.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher education.
• Computer literacy with basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with workshop scrap management processes; relevant work experience is an advantage.
• Detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to maintain accurate records.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with production and warehouse teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data‑entry software.
