MEL Manager

About the role

The MEL Manager will lead the design, implementation and oversight of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) systems for Seed’s country program in Uganda. Working closely with the country team, the global MEL unit and local partners, the role ensures data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement of health interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country‑level Measurement, Evaluation and Learning plan aligned with Seed Global Health’s strategic objectives.
• Establish robust data collection, management and reporting processes in collaboration with staff and partners.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on MEL methodologies, tools and best practices.
• Analyse programme data, produce evidence‑based reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support capacity building for country staff and partners on MEL concepts and practices.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., public health, statistics, social sciences) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading MEL functions in international development or health programmes.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
