Mental Health Technical Lead

About the role

InnerSprings is seeking a qualified mental‑health professional to provide technical input and facilitate sessions for its four‑week pilot programme “Leading Without Burning Out”, aimed at humanitarian and social‑impact leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and refine the four‑week programme, ensuring mental‑health content is evidence‑based and aligns with learning objectives.
• Prepare and deliver a 90‑minute online session each week for four weeks, covering topics such as stress, burnout, compassion fatigue and emotional wellbeing.
• Participate in the in‑person physical‑wellbeing session in Kampala, providing mental‑health input alongside movement or yoga facilitators.
• Answer participant questions within professional scope and give brief feedback on their responses.
• Contribute to the development of participant assessments, wellbeing scorecards and post‑programme evaluation.

Required profile

• Qualified mental‑health professional (e.g., psychologist, counselling psychologist, clinical psychologist or psychotherapist).
• Strong knowledge of stress, burnout and related concepts such as compassion fatigue and secondary traumatic stress.
• Proven experience facilitating groups, workshops or psycho‑educational sessions.
• Ability to translate psychological concepts into practical, engaging activities.
• Understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality and ethical practice.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience in humanitarian or trauma‑focused settings is a plus.
