Microfinance Graduate Trainee

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Kampala offers a graduate‑level traineeship in microfinance. The trainee will support the evaluation and analysis of financial statements, assist in micro‑finance operations and contribute to business‑development strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyse financial statements and related data.
• Assist with day‑to‑day microfinance operations.
• Participate in financial planning activities.
• Deliver financial‑literacy training to clients.
• Provide support to micro‑finance clients and help identify entrepreneurial growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members across departments.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in analysing financial statements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related field.
• Previous internship or experience in microfinance or financial services is a plus.
