Operations Intern – Regional Hub Kampala

About the role

The Islamic Development Bank Regional Hub in Kampala is offering a six‑month Operations Internship. Working under the supervision of a senior officer, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day operational activities, project coordination and administrative support within an international development environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support logistical arrangements for hub meetings, including material preparation and venue coordination.
• Review program documents, partner reports and compile statistical analyses as required.
• Assist in drafting and publishing success‑story articles for the IsDB newsletter.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations, manage filing, scanning and other documentation tasks.
• Deliver at least one knowledge‑sharing session on a topic of interest to the hub.
• Provide any additional support requested by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate) obtained within the past 12 months.
• Fluent English; knowledge of a second IsDB working language is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
