Operations Intern – Regional Hub Kampala

About the role

The Operations Intern will support the day‑to‑day activities of the Regional Hub in Kampala, gaining hands‑on experience in operational tasks, project coordination and administrative support within the Islamic Development Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in operations tasks and ongoing projects assigned by the supervisor.
• Provide logistical and coordination support for Hub meetings, including material preparation and venue arrangements.
• Review program documents, partner reports and deliverables; prepare statistics and analyses as needed.
• Assist in drafting and publishing success stories for the IsDB newsletter.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations, handle filing, documentation and scanning duties.
• Deliver at least one knowledge‑sharing session on a topic of interest.
• Perform any additional support tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Graduated with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree within the past 12 months.
• Fluent in English; a second working language of the Bank is an advantage.
• Good command of IT tools and basic project‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Team‑working orientation.
