Partnerships Finance Specialist (Re‑advertised)

About the role

The Partnership Finance Specialist will remotely oversee and stabilise finance‑related partnership functions across DRC Sudan, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and strengthening the financial capacity of partners and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial oversight of all local partners, reviewing and validating financial reports, documentation and reconciliations to ensure compliance with donor and DRC standards.
• Identify compliance risks, develop corrective action plans and provide guidance on donor rules (ECHO, BHA, GIZ, SIDA, EU, UN agencies).
• Diagnose gaps in partner financial systems, improve processes, and enhance archiving, cash‑book quality and reporting templates within DRC Dynamics (DYN).
• Conduct virtual support sessions, training and follow‑up meetings; travel only for critical audits, investigations or compliance reviews.
• Prepare partner data for upload into DYN, support audit documentation, respond to queries and maintain strong audit trails.
• Provide weekly updates, risk flags and recommendations to senior finance and program managers and represent finance in partner review meetings and donor engagements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years progressive experience in NGO financial management with partnership oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
• Proven experience working remotely with field teams in complex or emergency settings.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance requirements (ECHO, BHA, EU, SIDA, GIZ, UN agencies).
