Payment Renegotiation Specialist

About the role

Reveloop is seeking a Payment Renegotiation Specialist to lead negotiations with patients and insurance companies, aiming to maximize revenue recovery for its behavioral health clients. The role combines analytical review of outstanding accounts with persuasive communication to secure favorable payment arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient accounts and insurance claims to identify renegotiation opportunities.
• Negotiate payment plans, settlements, and alternative arrangements with patients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Advocate for higher reimbursement rates and reduce payment delays or denials.
• Collaborate with billing specialists, legal counsel, and cross‑functional teams to develop negotiation strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of negotiations and monitor compliance with agreed terms.
• Stay updated on payer policies, reimbursement rates, and industry best practices.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on negotiation processes and contribute to policy development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, collections, or related fields with a focus on payment negotiation.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify opportunities and devise strategies.
