Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician

About the role

Join Morrisons Pharmacy as an Accuracy Checking Technician, working alongside pharmacists to perform final accuracy checks on prescriptions and provide compassionate, confidential care to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly, and confidential over‑the‑counter service and answer customer queries.
• Perform final accuracy checks on medications after clinical approval and dispense prescription items safely.
• Support local health services by collaborating with surgeries and resolving queries quickly.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy procedures, report dispensing errors or near‑misses, and keep skills aligned with GPhC expectations.

Required profile

• Completed an approved Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (e.g., NPA DAC) and enrolled or planning to enroll in a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking qualification (e.g., BTEC Level 3).
• Registered (or actively working towards registration) as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Demonstrates a caring attitude, compassion for customers, and initiative in resolving queries.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, to keep the pharmacy running smoothly.
