Pharmacy Lecturer (Lecturer/Assistant Professor)

About the role

The University in Uganda is seeking a dynamic Pharmacy Lecturer (Lecturer/Assistant Professor) to join its Faculty of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programmes, develop course materials, and actively contribute to the university’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy courses.
• Prepare and update course syllabi, lecture notes, assessments and examination papers.
• Conduct original research, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Supervise student projects, dissertations and practical training placements.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development and university academic committees.
• Engage in community outreach and professional development activities as required.

Required profile

• Holds an M.Pharm or Master’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognised university.
• Relevant teaching, research or professional experience in pharmacy is preferred.
• Strong communication and academic writing skills.
• Professional registration or licensure where applicable.
