Preschool Assistant Director

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Assistant Director to lead a team of educators, ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment, and support children’s development at Cadence Education.

Key responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming preschool environment where children can learn, play, and grow.
• Build strong, open connections with parents, staff, and children through regular one‑on‑one meetings.
• Lead and mentor a team of 20–40 educators, upholding Cadence’s reputation for excellence.
• Drive financial success while maintaining high‑quality programs and community engagement.
• Plan and execute marketing events and community outreach to promote the school.
• Ensure 100% compliance with licensing, safety, sanitation, and federal/state regulations.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance reviews, guiding staff toward professional goals.

Required profile

• Proven success as an Assistant Director at a large preschool or early‑childhood school.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on teaching experience.
• Meets state licensing standards, including criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree + 6+ months group childcare, OR B.S. in Early Childhood Education, OR Associate’s degree + 1+ year supervisory role and 2+ years group childcare.
• Deep knowledge of licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements.
