Preschool Lead Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Reporting to the School Director, you will lead a classroom team, deliver curriculum, and support each child’s growth, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Key responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels respected and cared for.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Identify and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, implementing IEPs and behavior support plans as required.
• Plan, implement, and document curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy and Signature Programs.
• Use Cadence systems and communication tools to maintain professional interaction with families and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom and follow Cadence Safety and Supervision guidelines.
• Accurately document accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors per company policy and licensing requirements.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, occasionally outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Experience in early childhood education, childcare, daycare, or preschool settings.
• Ability to implement and support IEPs and behavioral support plans.
• Strong knowledge of licensing and safety requirements for early childhood programs.
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills for interacting with families and team members.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to organizational policies.
