Preschool Lead Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Reporting to the School Director, you will lead a classroom team, deliver curriculum, and support each child’s growth, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that respects every child.
• Build positive relationships with families through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Identify and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs and behavior support plans.
• Plan, deliver, and document curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy and Signature Programs.
• Utilize Cadence systems and communication tools for professional interaction with families and staff.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom following Cadence Safety and Supervision guidelines.
• Accurately record accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors per company policy and licensing requirements.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and handbook standards.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, occasionally outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool education.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain accountability.
• Strong communication skills with children, families, and team members.
• Commitment to inclusive education and support for children with IEPs.
