Preschool Lead Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Reporting to the School Director, you will lead a classroom, deliver curriculum aligned with Cadence Education philosophy, and support each child’s growth, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Key responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels respected and cared for.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans as required.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum using Cadence’s Signature Programs.
• Utilize Cadence‑required systems and communication tools for professional interaction with families, staff, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom and follow Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual.
• Accurately document accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors in line with company policy and licensing requirements.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, occasionally outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to follow all safety procedures, including Name‑to‑Face accountability and food allergy protocols.
• Experience working with young children in childcare, daycare, or preschool settings.
• Ability to support children with IEPs and implement behavioral support plans.
• Strong communication skills for partnership with families and team members.

Required skills
