Preschool Lead Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Reporting to the School Director, you will lead classroom operations, deliver curriculum, and support each child’s physical, social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels respected and cared for.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children and families through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy and Signature Programs.
• Use Cadence-required systems and communication tools to interact professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom, following the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual.
• Accurately document accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors in compliance with company policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular work hours.

Required profile

• Demonstrated passion for early childhood development.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool education.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, including Name‑to‑Face accountability and food allergy protocols.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills for partnering with families and team members.
• Capability to implement Individualized Education Plans and behavioral support strategies.
