Preschool Teacher Assistant

About the role

Cadence Academy Preschool is looking for a passionate Teacher Assistant to join its vibrant early‑learning team. You will work directly with young children, supporting a developmentally appropriate curriculum and creating a warm, engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in delivering daily lessons and activities that promote curiosity and growth.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere and supervise children during play, indoor and outdoor activities.
• Communicate daily milestones and updates to parents, fostering strong home‑school connections.
• Help organize and implement a balanced schedule of quiet time, active play, and fine/gross motor experiences.
• Model kindness, social skills, and positive behavior for children.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
• Meets state preschool lead teacher requirements.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a college degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher is required.
• Flexible availability during business hours.
