Program Coordinator

About the role

The Program Coordinator will lead the implementation of AVSI projects, ensuring they align with approved proposals, budgets, and timelines. This role bridges business development, project management, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and communication to achieve strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and take final responsibility for all project activities, adhering to AVSI procedures, budgets, and schedules.
• Drive business development by identifying new funding opportunities and preparing proposals.
• Coordinate with HQ, regional staff, and donors to share strategies, innovations, and lessons learned.
• Oversee the preparation and verification of project reports and strategic documents.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and joint planning across departments.
• Support staff in applying AVSI procedures related to project design and implementation.
• Ensure quality and sustainability of results through MEAL processes, including monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.
• Collaborate with the Communication department to integrate communication components into project proposals and implementation.
• Work with Operations to ensure compliance with AVSI and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination and supervision.
• Strong background in business development and donor relations.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and foster inter‑departmental collaboration.
• Experience with monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with HQ, regional teams, and external partners.
