Program Manager

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Program Manager to provide technical assistance and oversight for projects across education, child protection, child rights governance, disaster risk management, and youth resilience in Uganda. Reporting to the Regional Program Manager, you will lead programmatic and operational activities to ensure high‑quality delivery and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement projects in line with designs and donor requirements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners, stakeholders, and district‑level teams.
• Plan, develop, and monitor detailed implementation plans, phased budgets, and reporting schedules.
• Ensure timely, accurate internal and external reporting and documentation.
• Support emergency response activities when humanitarian crises arise.
• Oversee financial performance, budget adherence, and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program or project management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder teams and manage complex operational environments.
• Excellent analytical, monitoring, and reporting skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to emergency situations.
