Program Manager – Regional Programs (Uganda)

About the role

Trees for the Future is seeking a Program Manager to lead the implementation of its regional agroforestry programs in Uganda. Based in Rakai District, you will provide strategic, technical, and managerial oversight to ensure program success and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute regional programs, meeting targets, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure high‑quality delivery of the Forest Garden Approach across all sites.
• Support feasibility assessments, planning, and rollout of new projects and partnerships.
• Supervise, mentor, and build capacity of Program Officers and field teams.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management in collaboration with HR.
• Manage program budgets, procurement, and resource allocation.
• Prepare consolidated reports, ensure compliance with TREES policies and local regulations, and represent the organization externally.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program management, preferably in agriculture, environment, or development sectors.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
